The rifle shows some rust but the bore looks good and the trapdoor seems to fit tightly. The sling is in rough shape and needs attention. Although the sights had been removed they were still with the rifle, as was the bayonet. Al Frasca kindly supplied authentic replacement sight screws so that I was able to remount the sights for these photographs.
